Date: 11/12/02 Time: 6:51:50 PM Remote User: Comments: Nov 12, 2002 I have been watching your web site and looking at the photo's again every day for the last two weeks. Looks like the snow is coming back. I have been coming to Cooke City for the past two years and riding sleds in the deep snow. It is something that I will never forget. Rolling a sled down the mountain is something that you can't do in Minnesota. I was not hurt, but the sled, well....I was able to drive it back. I will not be coming back this year because my brother just had his first baby. Will be looking forward to coming back as soon as possible. Thanks for all the pictures. Trevor, Minnesota
Date: 11/14/02 Time: 2:18:03 AM Remote User: Comments: My wife and I visit your site just about every day, thank you very much for the updated pictures every day. I first came to Cooke about 20 years ago when my Dad was an original founding member/drummer of the world famous "Beef Lips" band. The Elkhorn Saloon, Ma Perkins Cafe(where I worked for a summer), the Norquist cabins (where I lived for a summer), the little A-framed Drive-in at the end of town, there all gone now but hold a special place with me. We have been back in the last several years 3 times, with the last being in August 02, where we camped out at Jeff Menueys' place-the BBQ cut. trout were unbelievable, and the music around the campfire was even better! Thanks again for keeping the new memories alive everyday. Signed, Shelly Jo Jr.

Worked for the NPS for 3 seasons ('67-'69) on the Beartooth Highway road maintenance crew. Many fond memories of Cooke City and Silver Gate. Used to pick up my mail from George & Ann Hermans's post office, and go across the street to the Range Riders to read. Many Saturday nights at the Watuck, also. It's the most beautiful country anywhere. Date: 11/26/02 Time: 7:39:11 PM Remote User: Comments: Hey guys...Great job with the website. Every day I check in to see if the sky opened up and dumped a ton of powder on Cooke. I was there last year and rode and it was like no other place I've ever experienced as far as back country powder riding. Our group will be back in February, in the meantime I'll be praying for more of the white stuff. Looking forward to your great service and seeing ya again...keep up the excellent job!! - MNFLATLANDER & GANG -

I first saw Silver Gate and Cooke City in about 1938 as a young kid, and on a trip with my folks. This was not too long after the Beartooth Highway was dedicated, after being built in the middle 30's. I used to own the cabin where Dan Hartman, the photographer, now resides with his family. We enjoy your web site, and keep up the good work. We look forward to seeing you next summer, and will be sure to visit a bit longer. THEY GOT FRESH SNOW EVERYDAY THAT WE WERE THERE. NEXT YEAR WE WILL BE BACK IN COOKE CITY FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT, BECAUSE THE RIDING IS ALWAYS GOOD IN COOKE CITY. I passed through Cooke City a couple years ago and happened to see a moose in town. My wife and her twin sister thought it would be great to get a "close-up" of the moose by actually getting closer. The moose turned and came at them and they ran to the car and jumped in while i had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. They learned their lesson and we will never forget that experience in Cooke City or the very friendly people we met while we were there for a few hours. Check it all the time to see both summer and winter scenes. My husband and I make it to Cooke City about every other year for a brief visit. We try to take in the whole area, Yellowstone, Jackson, Cooke City, Cody. I personally believe that this area is heaven on earth!!!!! When the pass is open we will be over. It is one of the best places to go when we run away from home. See you in a month or so, or whenever mother nature allows. ******************************************************************************* Contact_FullName: Walker Johnson Remote User: HTTP User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; AOL 9.0; Windows NT 5.1; FunWebProducts; Hotbar 4.4.2.0) Date: 26 Mar 2004 Time: 12:17:45 Comments: Like the rest who have posted, I love your site! My mother was born close to Cody WYO. and moved to Tennessee right after WW2. I bounced into the world in 1948 and grew up in TN, but summered in WYO. I remember Cook City in the late 50s and what a great place it was for a 10 year old to terrorize! The last time I made it out to WYO was in 88, took my TN wife to see the great place and show her Yellowstone. Kinda hard to do cause it was on FIRE at the time, but we mannaged. Didn't make it over to Cook City, fact was we were stuck in Jackson Hole for days before they would open that enterance due to the fire. I will be back out there before I croke and I sure will spend quality time in Cook. Oh, I am now a 56 year old "folk" singer and my list of songs has a nice section of dirty/funny ones. Cook sound like it still has a major heart when the snow falls and to me that would be the time to show up and both pick a little bit and take take it all in. Thanks again for the site, if you wanta check out mine it is walkerandandy.com ************************************************************************ ******************************************************************************* ******************************************************************************* ******************************************************************************* ******************************************************************************* Contact_FullName: tom handrick Remote User: HTTP User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; FunWebProducts) Date: 29 Mar 2004 Time: 18:48:06 Comments: Thanks to the website. It is very informative regarding the weather and riding conditions. It is great that you put pictures on the site at no charge for everyone to see. Because of this site we made it a point to purchase all our fuel and other things from your store. ******************************************************************************* Contact_FullName: joan jeffcoat Remote User: HTTP User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98) Date: 27 May 2004 Time: 09:33:37 Comments: cooke city is one of our favorite places to visit in montana. we have fond mem- ories from our first vist to montana in 1993. it's such a neat little town!
