About Us

We purchased the station Oct 19th 2001 & we still love it here in Cooke City after all these years. We’re still  100% owner-operated and have worked hard at adding many more items to our store.  We’ve made many good friends over the past few years and can honestly say that many of our customers are now friends. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone (family, friends & customers) for their continued support of us and our business.

I came to Cooke City with Boy Scout Troop 788 when I was 15 years old to hike from Mystic Lake to Cooke City. 24 years later my wife Lisa and I
went out west to go snowmobiling and see some sites. We had reservations in West Yellowstone but due to lack of snow and canceled rentals, we drove to Cooke City and stayed for 4 days. Both of us fell in love with Cooke City and found out the Sinclair Station was for sale. The morning we were leaving, we stood outside the Sinclair dreaming of owning it. Lisa said to me: "Lets put
an offer in on it" God put in our hearts to go back East and sell everything we own and purchase the little Sinclair business in Cooke City.
We left Baltimore Oct. 13th arrived at Cooke City Oct 18th. Everyone in town welcomed us with open arms.
The trip was 2,269 miles about 42 hours of drive time.
